The Alley Mural
Perhaps the most unusual of all the Rensselaer murals painted in the last few years is by an artist who goes by the name nick.abstract. In 2022 he painted half an alley. (The artist previously painted a mural in 2020.) It is impossible to get a good picture of his alley painting from the ground. The alley does not have much traffic, but it seems likely that this mural will have a shorter life than murals painted on sound walls. The artist's comments on Instagram were: "Honored to have been asked to paint again at the @renartwlk with some new and familiar friends. So much talent and passion has been poured into this town and nearby towns. It's really rad to see rural America flexing arts this hard."
